Day by day itinerary

Day 1: Palermo.
You are greeted at Palermo airport and transferred to your hotel. Time at leisure to own explore the town or for shopping.
Day 2: Monreale and Palermo.
After breakfast, we will show you where the Arab-Norman art and architecture reached the pinnacle of its glory with the Monreale Duomo, launched in 1174 by William II and represent
the scene from the Old and New Testaments all in golden mosaics. Then to Palermo to explore the Capo Market a large street market that captures the flavour of Palermo's Saracen past. Capo is a blend of general confusion and a jumble of vendors' stalls, winding toward the old gate (Porta Carini) of what used to be the city wall. Continuing a panoramic scenic drive, by seeing: the terrific Massimo Theatre, Piazza Pretoria, Via Maqueda with its "four corners"
who converge Palermo at a quartet of baroque palaces left over from the heyday of Spanish rule dates from the 1560. This afternoon at leisure to own explore the town. (BB)
Day 3: Palermo at leisure.
All day long at leisure to own explore the town or shopping or OPTIONAL excursion to tour western Sicily. (BB)
Day 4: Agrigento and Piazza Armerina.
Today we drive across the vast countryside enables us to see Sicily's great variety of sceneries. We soon arrive in Agrigento whose history dates back to 580 BC. Own tour to the Valley of the Temples, a magnificent cluster of Greek ruins overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Later, we depart to Piazza Armerina to own visit the ruins of a Roman Villa of Casale. The mosaics discovered here are celebrated among scholars of antiquity. After, we drive along the coast to Taormina, the world famous resort of Sicily. (BB)
Day 5: Mount Etna in Jeep Ride.
A short drive by Jeep takes us to the slopes of Mt. Etna. Weather and volcanic conditions permitting, we experience the lava fields and incredible views of Europe's highest volcano, and
one of the most active. We'll visit the Cave of the Thieves and Mount Fontana, with its spectacular view of Bove Valley, and the extinct craters of Sartorius Mounts. Then to a farmhouse, to taste Etna rural food, indulging in a typical light-lunch at a farmhouse. After light lunch we
enjoy a stop to the entrance of Alcantara Gorges, before driving along the coast to reach Taormina. (BB L)
Day 6: Taormina at leisure.
All day long at leisure to own explore this town or shopping in the amazing narrow streets rich of boutiques and lovely restaurants. (BB)
Day 7: Taormina.
All day long at leisure to own explore this town. (BB)
Day 8: Taormina and Catania.
Time to say goodbye to Sicily while as we are transferred to Catania Airport (CTA) for our return flight. (BB)
