Shore excursion 1 - Palermo and Monreale.
Short drive to Monreale to visit the Norman Dome built in 1174 by William II and representing the scene from the Old and New Testaments all in golden mosaics. Back to Palermo for a walking tour in the main streets of the city centre like the Baroque Quattro Canti and the Capo market. Time at leisure then back to the port.
Shore excursion 2 - Palermo and Cefalù.
We drive to Cefalù, a charming small town situated in the north coast of Sicily and with a massive Norman Cathedral with outstanding mosaics. Own walk in the city centre and time at leisure. Then back to Palermo and visit of the Baroque area of Quattro Canti. Back to the port.
Shore excursion 3 - Jewish sites in Palermo.
We will start the tour in the old city centre of the city, walking through the narrow streets of the Jewish quarter and its fascinating remains. We will visit the site of the Synagogue and with the help of some descriptions made by Jewish mediaeval travellers, we will discover the biggest Jewish community of the capital of Sicily.
Shore excursion 4 - Erice marzipan and olive oil factory.
Departure to Erice, a small medieval village close to Trapani. Here we will visit the ancient small streets of the city centre and we will have the chance to see some of the famous home made pastry shops, world-famous for marzipan candies, almonds and pistachio pastry. Then we will visit an olive oil factory and a typical farmhouse to enjoy our light-lunch. Then back to Palermo.
Shore excursion 5 - Erice and the salt way road.
Departure to the salt way road to see the typical Saline, then departure to Erice, a small medieval village close to Trapani. Here we will visit the ancient small streets of the city centre and we will have the chance to see some of the famous home made pastry shops, world-famous for marzipan candies, almonds and pistachio pastry. Back to Palermo.
Shore excursion 6 - Segesta and Monreale.
Departure from Palermo crossing the western Sicily's country area to reach Segesta to admire the lovely temple and the theatre. Then back to Monreale to visit the Dome built in 1174 by William II and representing the scene from the Old and New Testaments all in golden mosaics. Time at leisure in Palermo before ending to the port.
Shore excursion 7 - The Godfather and the Nuovo Cinema Paradiso.
We drive to the nice town of Corleone, one of the attractive places in the environ of Palermo. Here take place Francis Ford Coppola's movie The Godfather. Then continue to Palazzo Adriano to visit the lovely square where the movie Nuovo Cinema Paradise was shot. Back to Palermo.
Shore excursion 8 - Cooking class in Polizzi Generosa.
Upon docking to the port you will meet our driver in order to reach the lovely town of Polizzi Generosa, in the heart of the Madonie natural park, here Donna Santina will introduce you the secret of Sicilian dishes. Light-lunch in the lovely country-restaurant. During afternoon back to Palermo port.

Short visit to Messina city centre before ending to the port.

With our driver along the Sicilian coast to reach the nice town of Savoca, one of the attractive places in the environ of Taormina. Here took place Francis Ford Coppola's movie The Godfather II. Then to Forza d'Agrò, a nice medieval town with a great view of the coast where Al Pacino and Sophia Coppola shot several scenes for "The Godfather III" in 1990.
