Villa Sant'Andrea - Presentation.
The construction of Villa Sant'Andrea dates back to the year 1830 and was possible thanks to an aristocratic British family that found, in the landscape of Taormina, the ideal place to stay.
Villa Sant'Andrea - The rooms.
This Hotel has been known since the fifties as one of the most exclusive in Taormina. It still conserves the charm of an antique and noble private residence. Precious paintings and antiques embellish the interior and make it unique in its style. Immersed in a park with subtropical vegetation, with its private beach, it commands a good view of the "Baia di Mazzarò". Every room is comfortable and well lit and distinguishes itself from the others in decoration and furniture. Amongst these we find the prestigious 67 square meters "Alfred Percy Trewhella" suite, with its two bedrooms and double bathroom and a 60 square meters terrace with gazebo, couch, armchairs and sun lounges. The "Tyron Power" and "Winston Churchill" suites each come equipped with a hydro massage tub. The "Gertrude Sarauw", "Florence Trevelyan", "Mabel Hill" and "Richard Manley" suites, with their sea view balconies equipped with seats and sun loungers complete the range of suites on offer at the Hotel Villa Sant'Andrea.
Villa Sant'Andrea - The bar and the restaurant.
The "Oliviero" restaurant, with outdoor tables from June to September, is renowned for its fish dishes and serves traditional Sicilian cuisine. The hotel has an indoor bar and an outdoor bar located on the large terrace; sweet music from the piano bar accompanies guests in the evenings after dinner. There is also a beach service, offering maximum comfort and healthy refreshments such as fresh fruit and vegetable centrifuges.
Villa Sant'Andrea - Meeting room.
The "Oliviero" meeting room, overlooking the sea, is modular and can be set up in various ways in accordance with requirements; it can accommodate up to 160 people with a theatre-style layout and 220 people for banquets and receptions.
Villa Sant'Andrea - Location.
By car: A18 "Messina - Catania" motorway, "Taormina" exit. Proceed on the "SS114" coast road, turn right towards Mazzarò; the hotel entrance is about 1.5 km away. By train: Taxis are available 24 hours a day from Taormina - Giardini Naxos train station, about 2.5 km away. By air: From Catania - Fontanarossa international airport, about 65 km away, you can take a bus or a taxi to the hotel.
