Grand Hotel Timeo - Presentation.
This is the first Hotel in Taormina, in front of the Roman-Greek Theatre; it dates back to 1873 and represents the major expression of Framon style. In a park of 25.000 m², populated by numerous typical floral species, the historical Hotel contains the famous "literary terrace". Surrounded by a spectacular panorama, the terrace represents the ideal meeting place for well-known guests.

All rooms, with precious furniture, have got panoramic terraces or balconies. The suites recall the magnificence of the Sicilian Baroque. Among them there is the Kaiser Zimmer, with its polished and fascinating atmosphere and with a terrace of 220 m², to live the whole magnificence of the aristocratic Sicily at the beginning of the century. In a magical setting, the restaurant "Il Dito e la Luna" offers everything is refined and genuine in the Sicilian and Mediterranean gastronomy. The hotel offers a swimming pool and Health & Fitness Centre.
A multifunctional conference room is available for meetings, gala diners and fashion shows, providing an exclusive atmosphere and excellent service. Meeting rooms, rooms and public areas are equipped with Wi-Fi internet access, thanks to partnership with Swisscom Eurospot.
Grand Hotel Timeo - The bar and the restaurant.
With a panoramic backdrop, the restaurant called "Il Dito e la Luna" serves exclusive Sicilian and Mediterranean specialities. The "Giardino di Bacco", an informal restaurant surrounded by parkland, close to the swimming pool and open from April to October, is just as panoramic.
The characteristic "La Zagara" bar, decorated with the skilful work of Sicilian plaster artists, recreates the magical and welcoming atmosphere of a winter garden, similar to those found in baroque-style royal residences of the early 19th-century.
The halls, with large windows overlooking the terrace, are ideal for reading and in the evening soft piano music echoes through these intimate, elegant and scenic surroundings.

The hotel is located in the town centre, a short walk away from the Greek Roman Theatre. It is 500 metres away from the funicular railway for Taormina Mare, 15 minutes away from the train station, 20 minutes away from the port of Giardini Naxos and 60 km away from Catania Fontanarossa airport.
The hotel is easy to reach from the A18 "Messina-Catania" motorway, which is 5 km away.
