Today you will meet your Driver-Escort and drive across the vast countryside of the Madonie Park showcasing Sicily's great variety of microclimates. The territory of the Madonie Mountains is a paradise of contrasts, and a bit off the beaten track. We will visit Polizzi Generosa-a delightful town nestled in the heart of the Madonie Natural Park. You will experience a simpler time viewing the ancient masseria transformed into a farmhouse, the flourmills utilizing the plentiful water supply of the area, and the furnaces still used today to make ceramics. Enjoy a cooking class with Donna Santina and you will taste some of the best typical dishes of the Madonie area. After lunch we will drive to Cefalù, a charming coastal town, a former fishing village, which is also home to a breathtaking Norman Cathedral with dazzling mosaics. After Cefalù, we will reach Palermo.
