delicacies including; sun dried tomatoes, olive pate, local cheeselets, wines, liqueurs, and other locally made products, a great opportunity to purchase popular goods such as lace. Free time for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we visit the Azure Window, Malta's natural masterpiece, a spectacular natural landmark. The table-like rock forming an arch, is one of the most photographed vistas of the Maltese Islands. The Inland Sea, Gozo, and Dwejra Bay, were created millions of years ago when two limestone caves collapsed. An optional boat trip, subject to weather conditions (EUR 7.00 is not included in the overall price can be paid on the day) will afford you unique views of the sea locked lake. Our final stop before boarding the ferry for Malta includes a visit to Gozo's main town Victoria and The Citadel. The Citadel a petite fortified city commands the heights above Victoria. The Citadel dates back to an early period when Gozo was under Roman and Arab occupation. The massive walls offer panoramic views of the whole island. Our tour comes to an end as we make our way back to the ferry terminal to return to the main island. (BB)

Day 2 - Optional excursion to Segesta
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 2 (Sunday): Palermo, Segesta and Palermo.
This afternoon's optional tour suggestion is Segesta, the least ruined ruin on the island looks as if it were built yesterday. Segesta's ancient Greek temple makes a valid claim to being the best preserved in the world, and its amphitheatre hilltop position on Mount Barbaro is Sicilies most stunning. The magnificent Doric temple stands as it was abandoned with a roof that was never added and unfluted pillars, is the highlight of the large archaeological park. The archaeological site reflects the presence of several ancient civilizations, beginning with the mysterious Elymians. Return to Palermo.
