There's a special place, in Sicily. A place to live and to love, to discover and to taste. In this valley kissed they by the sun, the landscape is constantly marked by Mount Etna, the fire giant, giving the tempo since ages to the time and the actions of men, like the rhythm of the nature. Who lives in this land knows its spirit, knows how to love it and respect it, and knows how to get the best fruits out of it. It's an ancient and wise culture, expressing itself also by producing agricultural high quality food and excellent wines. An agricultural economy with ancient traditions, between Mount Etna and Alcantara River, which has learned to take up the challenge of the international markets, industrialising itself, to grow and to accept confrontation with products from other territories. The olive tree groves of Mount Etna are renowned for the quality of the deriving oil, as well as the cattle breeding from which one can obtain a variety of cold cuts and cheeses of great savour and quality, to enrich our appetizers. We suggest a coupling with meat and Caponatina (an exquisite casserole mainly based on eggplant) to the maccheroncini with tomato sauce, an always abundant pasta course. The Caponatina from Etna is always characterised by the strong flavour of the fresh vegetables and the genuine seasoning. At the end of lunch, typical Sicilian cakes and nuts conclude a meal that is also a journey in the flavours of the volcano.

ANCIENT GRAPES HARVEST (AVAILABLE IN SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER) 

Welcome at the arrival by the Winery and distribution of the necessary equipment for the picking of grapes in the vineyard (u panaru, u cuteddu, u fazzulettu pà testa, a coppula - the basket, the knife, the headscarf, the cap), to be returned by the end of the day. They can also be acquired at the sales point. At 10,00 - Grapes harvest: transfer in the vineyard where the hosts will be invited to participate to the picking of grapes with the pickers, return to the wine cellar where you will attend to the processing of grapes. At 11:45 - Guided visit: you will attend to the projection of a documentary video on the Ionian andEtna territory and on the production of wine into the multimedia hall of the of the winery. At 12:00 - Visit of the oenological plant: the premises with fermentini and the thermo-conditioned tanks in steel, the technical laboratories, the premises of the barrels in oak wood of Slavonia, the bottling lines. Oenological-tourist path: visit to the amphitheatre, overlook on the valley, the lava oozing out from the cave, visit of an old millstone. At 13:00 approximately - Lunch of the Peasant: appetizer, homemade bread, oven-dried black olives and green nocellara olives of Etna, salami produced with the meat of black pig of the Nebrodi Mountains, provola cheese, pecorino cheese, oven-baked ricotta cheese, sun dried tomatoes in oil, artichoke hearts in oil, eggplants in oil, mushrooms of Mount Etna, grilled sweet peppers, eggplants and courgettes, anchovies in oil, grilled mix with sausage, kid, meatballs in lemon leaves, side of potatoes peasant style, sautéed country vegetables. At 15:30 - Free time in order to make purchases in the sales point of the Winery or for a walk. At16:30 - End of the route.

WINE CELLAR VISIT 1 (AVAILABLE ALL YEAR UPON REQUEST)

At your arrival you will be welcomed by a guide accompanying you through the path called " Wine cellar visit 1", at the end of it you will be received in the wine company where you will taste wines accompanied by traditional dishes. Program - Visit of the oenological plant: the premises with fermentini and the thermo-conditioned tanks in steel, the technical laboratories, the premises of the barrels in oak wood of Slavonia, the bottling lines. Oenological-tourist path: visit to the amphitheatre, overlook on the valley, the lava oozing out from the cave. Buffet tasting of typical products: peasant appetizers, olives, cold cuts, cheeses, etc. First course: maccheroncini; Second course: sausage, meatballs in lemon leaves, side of vegetables of the season and potatoes, fruit of the season. Wine tasting: valuable wines, D.O.C. and I.G.T.

WINE CELLAR VISIT 2 (AVAILABLE ALL YEAR UPON REQUEST)
