Private half day and full day excursions with driver or tour escort (on request) in the requested languages. The prices of these tours are based upon the number of participants. The rates do not include admission fees, which are usually around EUR 8,00/10,00 per person payable directly on the spot. Lunch is also not included and it can be organized together with our tour escort. Our daily excursions are available all year long with private departures from Palermo, Catania and Taormina. We operate daily tours from any other city in Sicily with private groups of minimum 15 participants.

TOUR 1: PALERMO AND MONREALE (FULL DAY EXCURSION)

TOUR 2: SIRACUSA AND MOUNT ETNA (FULL DAY EXCURSION)

Founded in 734 B.C. by the Greeks, Siracusa was one of the great ancient capitals of Western civilization. This city quickly grew to rival and even surpassed Athens in splendour and power. You have possibility to visit certainly the highest restaurant in Sicily called " La Cantoniera ", the restaurant have been destroyed totally by lava eruption in 1983 and reopened already in 1985.

Agrigento was founded in 580 B.C. as Akragas, the Greeks ruled it for 370 years. Ancient Greek poet Pindar called Akragas as "the most beautiful city of mortals." We will show You the most beautiful Greek temples in Europe, "The Valley of the Temples" - Temple of Hercules, Zeus, Hera, Concordia, Dioscuri, etc... After a snack drive to visit Villa Romana in Piazza Armerina, well known for its 63 rooms villa built at Roman time all pavemented in splendid mosaics.

TOUR 4: TAORMINA AND CASTELMOLA (FULL DAY EXCURSION)

Taormina is an elegant town which is known for the good climate all through the year, the unbelievable views of sea and mountains. From Greek theatre You will be able to see the architecture of old Greeks and Romans and Etna together completing each other. The main street Corso Umberto is excellent place to visit shops and boutiques to buy the clothes of the latest fashion collections. Then driver will take to Castelmola famous for its wonderful view and almond wine and some unusual bars.

After the reopening of Cathedral of Noto 2007, the place has gained back the honour of being one of the most beautiful baroque pearls in Sicily.

TOUR 1: CEFALÙ AND PALERMO (FULL DAY EXCURSION)

The excursion starts from your Hotel. First stop is in Cefalù, a medieval town founded in the XII century by the Norman King Ruggero II, on the site of a previous settlement. It is a beautiful small city, so that the Norman King Federico II called it “Urbs Placentissima”. During our walk through the streets of Cefalù we will visit the Cathedral and its Byzantine mosaics, which include the portrayal of the “Cristo Pantokrator”. Continue to the Old Washhouse and the ancient port to admire the imposing old defense city walls. A visit to the Mandralisca Museum will let you admire the painting of the “Unknown man”, a masterpiece by Antonello da Messina, this is just one of the few works kept in the XV century painter’s homeland. Free time for lunch and shopping. Back in Palermo to visit the historical city centre. The “Quattro Canti” a square where four magnificent XVII century palaces with convex facades face each other. “Piazza Pretoria” with its magnificent Fountain, then the Municipal building, and then the Martorana Church and the San Cataldo Church. In the end, we will reach the “Piazza del Duomo” to admire the Cathedral, and then to the “Palazzo dei Normanni” with its “Cappella Palatina”. The excursion ends at the “Piazza del Teatro Massimo”, one of the largest opera houses in Europe. Free time for shopping and return to your hotel. Entry fees, meals, beverages, extra, not included.

TOUR 2: PALERMO AND CORLEONE (FULL DAY EXCURSION)

Departure from your hotel. The itinerary starts in Palermo, visiting the historical city centre. From the “Teatro Massimo”, one of the greatest opera houses in Europe, we will arrive at the “Quattro Canti”, a square where four magnificent XVII century palaces with convex facades face each other. Continue to “Piazza Pretoria” with its magnificent Fountain, then the Municipal building, and then the Martorana Church and the San Cataldo Church. In the end, we will reach the “Piazza del Duomo” to admire the Cathedral, and then to the “Palazzo dei Normanni” with its “Cappella Palatina”. We will leave Palermo to reach a famous village in the heart of Sicily, Corleone. Here we will visit the XIII century Cathedral of san Martino Vescovo, and the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Rosario di Tagliavia. Walking along the streets of Corleone you can see how a typical Sicilian would spend the everyday life. Free time for lunch in Corleone and than return to your hotel. On the way back to Palermo, we will make a brief stop to take photos at the “Bosco della Ficuzza”, which was the hunting ground of King Ferdinando di Borbone in the late XVI century. TOUR 3: PALERMO AND MONREALE (FULL DAY EXCURSION)

Departure from your hotel. The visit of Palermo starts with the magnificent XII century Cathedral, it is a mix of architectural styles and a pantheon of royalty. Inside the Cathedral there also are the tombs of King Ruggero II and king Federico II. At short distance the imposing Palazzo dei Normanni, which was built by the Arabs and afterwards used and modified by the Normans and by the Spanish Viceroys. We will continue along Corso Calatafimi to reach the city of Monreale, home of one of the most imposing Cathedrals of Italy. It was built in the XII century and it is famous for its Byzantine mosaics that decorates the interior walls (they are the second vastest mosaics in the world) and for the nearby Benedictine Cloister. Back to Palermo and stop to the Capuchin’s Catacombs where, through a maze of corridors, are kept thousands of bodies with their original dresses, mummified between the XVI and the XIX century. Free time for lunch in the city centre. In the afternoon, we will reach Monte Pellegrino, which is “the most beautiful promontory in the world” according to Goethe. We will see the sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, the Patron Saint of Palermo; this was built nearby the cave where the Saint lived as an hermit and than eventually died in the XII century. Panoramic tour along the Mondello beach and return to your hotel. Entry fees, meals, beverages, extra, not included.

TOUR 4: SEGESTA AND ERICE (FULL DAY EXCURSION)

Departure from your hotel. After one hour and a half drive we will reach the ancient town of Segesta, which was probably built between the V and the IV century b. C. on a large plateau, in a naturally well defendable position. You will have the possibility to visit the Greek Theatre and the magnificent Doric Temple, dating from the last 30 years of the V century. The Theatre and the Temple are located on two separate hills. We will continue to the medieval town of Erice, which was founded by the “Elymians”; this city was an important Religious site dedicated to the Goddesses of fertility. You will admire the XII century Norman Castle, surrounded by a beautiful park; walking along the ancient alleys you can visit some of the pastry shops, famous for the marzipan pastries and other delicacies such as the almond and pistachio pastries. TOUR 5: SELINUNTE, TRAPANI SALT LAKES AND MARSALA (FULL DAY EXCURSION)

Departure from your hotel for a fascinating experience in the archaeological site of Selinunte, the old “Selinus”, the last Greek city of southern Sicily. A beautiful walk through the ruins of the city and the Temple will bring you back at the time when the Carthaginians and the Greeks fought in these places for the supremacy on the Mediterranean. After one hour drive, you will admire one of the most famous landscapes of Sicily: the salt lakes of Nubia and the old Saltpans near to the modern ones. In this Natural Reserve you will have the possibility to visit the Salt Museum and taste the typical lunch of the “Salinaru” (those who harvest salt in the Saltpans). A panoramic road will lead us to Marsala where you will have the possibility to visit its Museum, which is famous all over the world because it houses a Phoenician Ship. Not so far from the Museum, in a little wine-shop, you can taste the famous Marsala dessert wine. Return to your hotel. Entry fees, meals, drinks, extra not included.
