The remains of the villa in which they are set used to belong to a very rich merchant and they still reveal all the opulence and luxury of the roman time. The quality and subjects of the mosaics are stunning! After visiting this excellent archaeological site with a local official guide we shall move further to a Baglio in the area; the Baglio is a typical rural structure which used to be the productive centre of old noblemen families of Sicily.
Nowadays they produce wine and we shall start by visiting their vineyards and cantina.
We then move to their restaurant and have lunch accompanied by the locally produced excellent wine. After lunch we shall move further to our destination, Taormina. Check in with a refreshing drink at our hotel and a short free time to freshen up. Right after we shall meet our local official guide and have access to the Roman-Greek Theatre of Taormina.
