Day 1: Arrival in Catania.
Welcome to the wonderful island of Sicily! At the gate youre welcomed by our Tour Director, then transfer by motor coach to the Hotel in the city center of Catania. After short free time, with the aid of material supplied by us you will enjoy an own stroll into the city centre. In the evening meet our Tour Director leader for a welcome-drink and short briefing. Enjoy your Dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Mt. Etna and Taormina.
Meet our Tour Director and reach Mt. Etna (3300m), not only the highest mountain in Sicily but also the highest volcano in Europe. The territory surrounding the volcano is rich of lemon trees, vineyards, wild nature. A short drive takes us to the slopes of the volcano, at 1800 ASL. Those interested in going to the upper craters will have the option to purchase cable car on the spot (weather and volcanic conditions permitting). After a stop for own lunch we proceed to Taormina. The lovely city is situated on a rocky plateau dominating the Ionian coast, offering wonderful views to Mt. Etna and the coast. Romantic lanes and historical buildings let us immediately understand why such a small city as Taormina is famous in the whole world! Supported by your Tour Director you will be able to discover it by means of the materials supplied by us.Todays dinner is at a typical restaurant in the center of Catania with Pizza and fresh salads.

Day 3: Syracuse.
Syracuse was in ancient times one of the most important cities in the Mediterranean world. We reach it by motor coach and then we start the tour with the picturesque and fascinating city center situated on the lovely isle named Ortygia. Accompanied by our Tour Director, but able to move freely thanks to the materials supplied by us, you will be able to see the different sightseeing places, a special way of discovering the secrets of Syracuse.
For lunch you can choose between one of the romantic restaurants or having a typical snack during the boat trip in the harbor. After lunch we visit the exceptional Archeological Park where we will explore the 5th-century BC Greek Theater and the Paradise Quarry with the Ear of Dionysius. Back to Catania theres still time left for shopping or simply enjoying the vivid city. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 4: Villa del Casale and Agrigento.
We check out from our Catania hotel and drive to the heart of Sicily. Nearby Piazza Armerina we visit the famous mosaics of the Villa Romana del Casale, a luxurious dwelling built in late imperial age. The figured and ornamental mosaics - the richest, largest and most complex collection of Roman mosaics in the world- still seem to narrate the every-day-life of the ancient Romans. Time at leisure for own lunch, then we proceed to Agrigento. With the Valle dei Templi (Valley of the temples) Agrigento presents one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture. We will visit the remains of seven temples, each of them full of history and myths. Hotel in Agrigento including dinner.

Day 5: Selinunte and Monreale.
Leaving Agrigento we are directed towards another fascinating archeological zone.
Selinunte was once a big ancient city, than several times destroyed and finally neglected. Today we are able to touch the history of the ruins and temples nearby the sea in an complete natural context far away from modern environments. Afterwards our tour brings us to Monreale. The monastery was built by the will of the Norman king Wilhelm II in order to weaken the influence of the bishop of Palermo. Until today we can feel the spirit of the importance by seeing the wonderful handicraft of the cloister and the brilliance of the mosaics inside the cathedral. Our Hotel is situated nearby the sea close to the old town centre of Palermo.

Day 6: Palermo.
Palermo is among the most interesting Sicilian cities, because here, in the past, Jewish, Islamic and Christian people lived peacefully together enriching each other. Witness of this unique experience are still the buildings and churches as the Cathedral, La Martorana, S. Cataldo. Our sightseeing trip leads us also to places as the renaissance fountain at Piazza Pretoria and the baroque crossing named Quattro Canti. The afternoon is free, for visiting furthermore of the city, go shopping or just relax in the hotel.

Day 7: Cefalù and Messina.
Following the north coast of Sicily we are reaching Cefalù. The legend tells about the Norman King Roger II who wanted to thank the Holy Virgin for being saved in danger of drowning - but surely he found the main reason in the strategic position of the city.
In our days Cefalù is a wonderful example of responsible tourism inviting the visitors to enjoy the romantic streets nearby the sea. Once again on the road were getting to Messina for overnight at our hotel.

Day 8: Departure or stay at beach Hotel, Taormina or Aeolian Islands.
Our holiday comes to its end: after breakfast we check out and reach the Catania airport for our flight back home.
